Congratulations to Mike Jack on his official World Record of ‘Most Ghost peppers Eaten In One Minute‘
Chilli Magazine’s Kendall was on-hand to wish Mike ‘good luck’.
It officially took place in London Ontario, Canada on March 2nd 2019 at the London Heat Wave Hot Sauce Expo where Mike went for the world record. Check out the listing of the official record here:
Mike needed to beat 30 grams to beat the world record. His personal best of 80 grams was an unsanctioned precursor to what would become a world record. The amount he was going for had never been done before and now Guinness World Records has made it official, most Bhut Jolokia chilli peppers eaten in one minute is 97 grams! I was there to witness this speed eating event and it was just as crazy as you would imagine. Mike powered through the plate of Bhut Jolokia chilli peppers like a seasoned champion. I spoke with Mike before his attempt and he was extremely excited and hopeful and brought attention to help FEED THE HUNGRY, a charity he is passionate about. He had a hard time taking after, but you could see the excitement on his face.
